Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in the exhibition in Athens, and my solo exhibition in Connecticut, USA was also cancelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I hope this finds you well.<br>Today, I would like to share some updates on 3 upcoming exhibitions for this spring season.&nbsp;We are flying to Athens in March, to Tokyo in April, and to Connecticut on the east coast of the United States in May for installation. We will be mindful of self-care while travelling, while preparing well for installation work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motoi-works.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/top-840x540-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1302\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motoi.biz\/ginza\">\u201cFANTASY GALAXY\u201d Motoi Yamamoto x Yoshimasa Tsuchiya<\/a><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>June 2 (Tue.) \u2013 August 23 (Sun.), 2020<\/strong><br><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.company.theginza.co.jp\/space\/\" target=\"_blank\">THE GINZA SPACE<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Tokyo)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a collaboration work with a sculptor Yoshimasa Tsuchiya. Mr. Tsuchiya is attracting fans from all over the world with his wood carved deer and other gentle creatures in nature, creating a poetic expression of the world. His artistic style is vastly different from my own, but we will collaborate to present a space where his wood sculptures quietly and gracefully stand within my salt installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motoi-works.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/c3095ab1352f8deefd412d215e5df66f-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1301\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motoi-works.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/mail.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1300\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/motoi.biz\/word_press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Athens-scaled.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cReal to Tokyo\u201d<\/a><\/em> [Nonparticipation]<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><del>July 15 (Wed.) \u2013 Sep 15 (Tue.), 2020<\/del><br><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.byzantinemuseum.gr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Byzantine &amp; Christian Museum<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Athens)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Japanese Contemporary Art Exhibition to be viewed through 2 key concepts, \u201cintegration\u201d and \u201cinheritance\u201d, connecting the Olympics, Athens, and Tokyo. With a variety of artistic expressions by 6 artists along with an architect Kengo Kuma, this exhibition will present some of the finest pieces of Modern Art in Japan today.<br>Artist : Yu Araki, Kei Imazu, Kengo Kuma, Nobuaki Takekawa, Naoki Honjo, Paramodel Yasuhiko Hayashi and Motoi Yamamoto<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motoi.biz\/mystic\">\u201cTRACING MEMORIES\u201d<\/a><\/em> [Cancel]<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><del>April 30 (Thu.) \u2013 September 6 (Sun.), 2020<\/del><br><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mysticseaport.org\/locations\/salt-tracing-memories\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Mystic Seaport Museum<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(Connecticut, USA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A solo exhibition in a port town called Mystic, near Boston, on the east coast of the United States. At a beautiful gallery reminiscent of sailing ship frames, I\u2019m going to try something new such as incorporating mirrors into my installation, while creating a large scale salt installation to trace back precious memories.
