In the previous exhibition Zwischen Kosmos und Nähe — Between Cosmos and Nearness, a quiet intuition filled the space: that the cosmos may not lie only in distant realms, but already here, present as a subtle, hidden trace.
This exhibition carries that resonance forward, shifting our gaze toward “cosmic images” that emerge within light, layers, memory, and imagination.
The cosmos is often spoken of as something far away. Yet at times, in a passing light, a fleeting form, or a fragment of an image, we encounter an expansiveness that evokes the cosmos itself. Each of the three artists awakens this sensation in their own distinct way.
Circles that drift apart, draw near, and at times intersect. Spirals in which delicate traces rise as layered strata. Handcrafted structures and moving images that feel like memories of a future yet to come. These works do not attempt to depict the cosmos itself. Rather, they serve as quiet thresholds — opening within the viewer’s perception and imagination a “cosmic sensation” that trembles between distance and nearness.
