Gallery Funeasobi, the old farmhouse gallery in Oku-Noto where I have exhibited many times, is reopening in a new location after the original building was demolished under the public demolition program following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake. The house we knew, with its slope overlooking the neighbor’s field and the round table set against the hills behind, is gone. But with the support of many people, a path to rebuilding has opened, guided by the image of “a building standing quietly in the landscape of Oku-Noto.”
I am delighted to take part in its first exhibition. I hope you will find the time to visit.
