The artwork has been installed at Kanazawa Nishi Hospital, located in Kanazawa. This piece, extending from the exterior wall to the entrance, is a permanent installation, allowing hospital visitors to appreciate it freely.
Based on my own experience of facing illness within my family, I created this artwork as an expression of gratitude to those working in the medical field. I aimed to create a space that provides a sense of peace, allowing visitors to pass through the hospital gates with a calm mind. Being able to give shape to this long-held sentiment is a great joy for me.
Kanazawa Nishi Hospital has previously installed various artworks within its premises, including those by local ceramic artists, and I was told that this marks the hospital’s 11th piece.
